I think the Yellow and the CF look great Dminted. what color is it now? I'd also go with that wing. few wings on hatches do them justice. as for wheels, id do white. they seem to fit better to me.

Yeah I like the look of white wheels too. Right now the car is silver with black fenders and bumper and carbon hood, so it is kinda pieced together at the moment.

Yeah that CTR is pretty sick. Plan on investing in a 5 lug conversion? They go for like 2300 bucks around here :/ hella expensive.
I love Phoenix Yellow, so I definitely approve of going with that color.

I would like to do the 5 lug but it's kinda at the bottom of things I want. When I come around to getting the brakes upgraded I'll probably just do it then. Been tossing around a few ideas for paint but I always seem to come back to Phoenix Yellow so that is what I'm gonna go with. Now I just somebody to give a bunch of money so I can go to town on it, lol.

Okay, so I have made a decision that I want to try and save up for a RHD conversion. Been looking at buying from Japan but the legal issues are just too much to deal with so this is the next best thing. The only issue I've come across so far is how much it costs. Got a few local shops who have done them before and some possibilities on front clips. Now I just need to decide if I want to spend the extra money to get a clip with a type-r engine or one with no engine and keep my SOHC.

There's an import shop up here in Portland that deals with strictly Nissans, Subies, and Hondas, and they have Integra clips and CTR clips, with and without motors in them, as well as all kinds of other JDM parts, (lug conversion, jdm fenders, etc) I'd look for some type of shop like that around you. I was actually surprised that there was a shop like that in Oregon, considering there isnt actually a huge market for Imports, and there's literally NO meets up here. But I'm guessing if we've got one, you might too. I'll try to see what kinda prices they've got as far as CTR clips and if they've got a website i'll upload the link.
but I definitely recomend going all out.. ctr front clip, with the ctr motor. make it a type r clone.

Thanks for the info, I have found a few shops but trying to get any info from them is impossible guess I will have to drive to all of them and talk to someone. I am really looking forward to this idea just worried about how long it would take to get it going costs a lot of money.

Yeah it isn't cheap that's for sure. I know a guy that does RHD conversions for a reasonable price but he's in Cali, so that's not very practical. But I do know Phoenix has a pretty strong import scene, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't a shop around there that could figure something out.

While I don't know about someone in Cali to do a front clip with motor, I do know that Osaka JDM Motors (osakajdmmotors.ca) or JDM:Source (jdmsource.ca) can definitely help. I know just recently they had a JDM DC2 ITR front clip on facebook. They are both out of Canada, and have engines and clips, possibly even other stuff. You'd just have to look.

He doesn't have a site, he does it on the side, he's actually a rapper hahaha. But, he does AWESOME work. And has had over 15 Personal RHD cars that he's converted himself. Usually he can't help with finding the clip, but once you have it I'm sure he can help. I'll contact him and see what he harges. and get back in touch with ya.

Yeah jdm source has a bunch of front clips. If they dont have one in stock when you plan to purchase i bet they'll have one within a week. They seem to get them quite often.

I shot them both an email, now I have got several companies that I have inquired to. Have gotten two emails back with prices of $2600 and $2500. 2600 for a rhd civic SiR2 with B16A and the 2500 for a Civic VTi. Or one of them offered up $1500 for a front clip with no engine and I could just keep my SOHC. Just need to go to some shops and get prices on work. Exciting but still don't know when I will have the funds to make it happen.

You could always go the cheaper route and do the clip yourself. lol. Or grab a few buddies (or your girl if she's into cars like mine is) Drop the kids with family, and go to town on it. This weekend my wife an i will be FINALLY putting a new (used) 4G64 Eclipse motor in. I kinda wish that the JDM had Eclipse stuff, but they dont. At least if i get Sarah a 3000GT i can convert it. lol

Yeah that's the thng i love about Canada. they have looser imprt laws. Anyone want to move up there and rock an R32? They're legal. Can't wait until the R34 is too... Freaking 2024 for the 34, 2014 for the R32. just a reminder, the R33 IS legal in the US.

I would not feel comfortable tackling a clip swap, I don't have proper tools or space. I did get a call back for a clip with no engine and no body parts for $750 in Cali. Sounds like the best deal so far or $2600 for one with a B16. I would not mind running my engine but I am having issues running an OBDI on my EK and getting it emission tested and registered. Been running on my Texas plates that expired last February. So between doing the swap and fixing up my engine and other small things that go with it I almost think it would be cheaper to buy a clip with an engine.

Gotta love it when things play out that way. lol. As far as doing a clip, I dont think it'd be that hard. Unless you have to weld or cut or something... You're lucky, you can do one. lol

there is a lot of cutting and welding, I would be buying the entire front end off a RHD car. So my front end needs to be cut off and the new one welded on. It is a big process and not one I would do. Just trying to weigh the options of having one with an engine that I can register quick or having to get my engine rebuilt and dropped in. I don't have tools or space to do rebuilds or swaps so all the work would have to be done at a shop and that is where it gets pricey.

-noob look- Ohhh, so THAT'S a front clip. i thought it was just the fenders, hood and bumper honestly. Now i get what you mean. Technically, you still could if you rented the equipment, but i completely agree with having it done professionally. Less room for error unless you are the professional.

I moved here to Arizona to go to UTI. did not work out to well. UTI was great at first but found myself not learning enough about actual mechanics and doing more paperwork than expected. The teachers there have a horrible attitude and I just didn't feel like they were preparing me for the industry. I ended up dropping it and Am now going to Arizona State University and getting a masters in electrical Engineering. I'll make more money with that degree anyway. So not to detour you or anything but just make sure you go and check it out see if you like it then make a decision.

I've been prety dead set on becoming a Porsche or BMW Technician (maybe both) and UTI is the best place for me to do that. besides, $64,000 a year fresh out of college isn't too bad, but I'll keep what you said in mind.
