Well good luck with, I hope it works out for you. I am currently happy with my choice and am definitely looking forward to a career as an engineer, just have to wait a few years to be done with it all lol.

No updates yet, was planning on doing more work recently but have decided to start saving up for the RHD conversion and new engine. Hope to be getting started on that as soon as possible.

Hope you can get that soon. I'd like to see some progress. Just go to autozone and get a decal that has something to do with your car. It'd be small, but still progress. lol

yes any progress at this point would be awesome. Put the car up on jacks two days ago to fix my exhaust cause one of the bolts came loose, so I bought some new bolts and nuts with lock washers and while I was under there I figured I would try to get my exhaust lined up where it should be and there is a 1 1/2 inch gap between my cat and the back end of the exhaust. Don't know if it is like that because of the D15B or what. Been trying to find any info and checked my cat size and it is the same length as the factory one so I am hoping that my Buddy Club exhaust is not the cause of this issue. So my car is now sitting on jacks with a huge gap between the cat and pipes, need to call my local shop for advice they know a lot about these D15B every time I call them. But for an update I should be getting at least one new (used) driver door soon. My current doors window regulator was not installed properly by the previous owner and the bolt holes were ripped open so the regulator just spins inside of the door (will post a pic below so you know what I'm talking about). Have not been able to roll the window up all the way so I don't usually take my car anywhere when I know I might be inside for too long. So at least one new door, would like to find a decent priced power window/lock door with everything attached but i am not sure on how to run the wires since mine is just manual. Need to get a haynes manual as well I suppose.

Finally got my interior trim pieces all cleaned up and put back in the car. And yes I am rocking the mini vice-grip window cranks, lol.

Love the cluster insert, and the shift boot... can't wait until I'm done buying parts for my motor, so I can start doing subtle cosmetic changes like that. Personally, I'd just go with a manual window door, because it'll be cheaper, and I personally prefer manual windows.. but that's just me. Wish my lude had manual window cranks

going to order a new shift knob tomorrow. I know it is not going to help my car run any better at this point in time but it will look nicer than my type-r knock-off. Going with the delrin plastic weighted ivory white with color pack offered from Password JDM. It will look awesome and hopefully some day soon will feel very nice when shifting.

Alright I will be forgoing the shift knob for the time being thanks to Austin for talking me into getting my valve cover powder coated. Should turn out good, gonna ship it off to Street Obsessions. Thinking about yellow with red lettering.

Sweet! Will look killer. lol No thanks needed. I just gotta talk the wife into letting me do it. lol. Candy yellow with red letters are a nice combo. I'm going to go with a Candy blue vc, silver letters and MAYBE a home painted red or carbon fiber Mitsubishi symbol. But the jury's still out on the last bit. lol Anyone want to buy a set of Eclipse five spokes? Only $80 (for the paint on the vc) Wink

This is a pretty cool build! I like how you're bringing it up from something stripped down. I look forward to seeing you turn it into what you're imagining.

Sweet man. I dunno if he's big enough or does enough to offer a military discount. Maybe if enough military personnel ask... Ah well. Just wondering, but will your vc fit on a JDM head? or would it be backwards? I know you're wanting to go with an RHD conversion, maybe you should get a JDM vc? (yeah i know, I'm full of questions, my auto mechanics instructor in high school loved me. lol)

It all sits the same way. My engine came from japan off a civic there. the engines are all the same though. Got the valve cover shipped off and should have it back in about 1-2 weeks, shipping takes forever. Very excited, but after looking at my engine with no cover I now want to buy a stand and rebuild it myself. decisions suck.

Ok i get you now. lol. Well, which would get your car on the road, and the cost? I'd say rebuild it, but... wait, your engine came from a JDM Civic? Why dont you just get the front clip sans the engine then? less money.

It would be alot cheaper to get a front clip without an engine but I think I might want to get a new engine anyway and my engine is an obdI which makes it more difficult for me to get it emission tested since the car should be running obdII. So at this point I have to decide if I want to save up for a front clip with new engine or to rebuild what I have and make it all work together. It is a hard decision because I want the clip but it is just so expensive since I would need to buy the clip have it swapped and have to buy at least one new door and have some body work done so I could paint the car once it was swapped. There is a lot more that goes into it than just the clip.

What seems most feasible? My wife and i are putting the new engine in ours and using it until we can get the dually fenders and the 13B TT. I'd just get the car running and whore yourself out to employers and rake in the dough. lol

Just pose it to her in the sense of more money. Can't go wrong and youre not doing anything illegal. Just working yourself ragged. lol. Most women won't argue with more money. just the motive behind it.

I swear I am the worst when it comes to making up my mind. lol. So fter watching some videos I want to get my car running better and then save up for a new engine and get my car track ready for road racing but only street class. So I can get my car all setup and hopefully be able to get it out to the track in a few months. Putting the RHD idea back but not ignoring it still want it just not right now. Need to get my car looked at at my local shop Import Powerhouse and see about getting a new wiring harness run since the last owner had the wiring done really badly and see about getting it to pass emission then start on the process of getting it track ready. Gonna be on the hunt for a decent priced B16 also but probably wont be able to afford for a little while. Will be nice to have a new engine I think, would like to have it back up to specs with the OBDII. This sounds like the most cost effective plan at the moment and will allow me to get the car better in an amount of time but still be able to work on it instead of spending all my money on bigger priced things.

Check honda-tech for a local member with a b16 for sale, usually they are priced more reasonably than craigslist postings.

I know it wont be the last time I make a change, but I just wish I could be somewhat consistent with what I want, lol. Went from wanting a nice clean smooth ride to a weekend track car. Thanks for the info on engines though, but wont be looking for some time, maybe about a year, plenty of time to mess with the SOHC who knows I might want to keep it lol. That would be pretty cool to have a SOHC VTEC track car.
