I've piddled around and finally moved my build to this section. What i have is a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse that my wife and i are building. So far, all that's been done are 17 inch ICW wheels, 2 inch drop, Wings West lip kit and wing, intake, header, APC muffler, window tint (needs to be re-done) Pioneer CD player with Alpine 6 1/2's mounted in the door panels and Kicker 6x9's mounted in the rear panels. I have a front bumper different from the one in the pic, it's just sitting in the box awaiting installation.

    The new front bumper

I'm going to build a wide body kit out of Chevy and Dodge dually rear fenders. I figure it'd be easier than making an Evo wide body kit fit the Eclipse. I will go with a carbon fiber hood eventually, but for the time being, i want to just cut a hole over the air filter and mold a scoop into it, but still achieving this basic look.

I want to paint this graphic using Nissan Skyline R34 Bayside Blue and Sonic Silver.

I want to go with these wheels, but might consider ones that LOOK close enough.
    Just reposting Bmw_m315

And this wing to tie everything together. I'll probably powder coat or use Bayside Blue on it to make it match.
    Just reposting Bensop11

And last, but not least, I want to convert it to RWD using a 20B-REW out of a Mazda Eunos Cosmo. It's a "mid-front" design, meaning it sits behind the front axles, which is great for power to weight ratio. Estimated power is about 300-400hp.
    Just reposting 20b-re11

And as a custom touch, and to commemorate my wife, who has supported me in my adventures through life and always been there for me and helped me through things that i never thought id get through, I wanted to use this shot from our favorite video game, Final Fantasy X. It's taken from arguably the best scene in the entire game. I wanted to alter the picture just enough to have our likeness in place of the characters faces, but still keep the originality.

Well, that's the project in a nut shell.

Oh i know. lol. We just need to get finances where we want them and finish settling in. Plus, if the bank will finance us, I'll be getting a car for Sarah though Enterprise (yes, you can buy cars from Enterprise). She really wants a new Camaro, even more than she wants an RX8, and she loves the RX8. So, it's something we're keeping open. Hopefully G&N Auto will have the engine in Friday. I had a notice about it on Facebook earlier about it.

just for a bit of reading, this is one sweet R35. I still wish it was a Skyline GT-R, but beggars can't be choosers. lol

I have grown to like the new GT-R, not one of my favs and I hated it at first but after seeing a few up close they really are nice and especially after watching a few videos of tuned ones they are monsters.

Yeah same here, course, when the RX8 came out i hated it, while i don't love it, i do see the potential and wouldnt mond picking one up. One of the sergeants at my national guard unit has a 2005 STI. He said he'd sell it for $9500 while Blue Book is about $12,000+ with only about 80K miles. But in the case of the GT-R, I neither hated it nor loved it. I just didn't care. But now that they've been out for a while and parts are trickling down, if someone handed me the keys to one, I'd drive away in a heartbeat, but i wouldn't trade the Eclipse, or any of the cars on my Top 5 list for one. But it ranks in the top 10. lol. A JDM one wouldn't be too bad... Throw on a BenSopra kit, wing and exhaust and I'd be happy.

OK, what the hell Gene? Only 54 posts and three stars? wonder what the hell you've been doing?

Update on the Eclipse: I found out earlier today that the engine is getting ready to go in this afternoon (4/19/2012) so hopefully we should have the car back next week. Once we do, the bumper's going to the paint shop and getting paint and installed. I'll leave the fogs off for right now unless the body shop wants to attach them to the bumper for me, but i don't see how' there's no mounting tabs or anything...

As far as the VC is concerned, it'll have to wait a bit. maybe i can talk Sarah into letting me get it. Once we get her a Camaro, I'll have the valve covers painted, maybe even have the rims powder coated too.

I hope. It's still a few days out. Then there's the aspect of paying them for the work and rent. Funds are super tight right now. I hope i get paid soon. My Guard check will be hitting soon, Sarah get's paid next thursday, I'll get paid for the retreat we're going to through the Guard, and then my pay from work, when ever that is. We might be able to break even by then...

Had a really weird dream last night. My wife was inside doing office work while i was working on the Eclipse at our current house. It had a built VR38DETT with all wheel drive, stretched BMW M3 19 inch wheels sitting beside the car as i was putting the finishing touches on the wide body kit. I installed the wheels and went under the hood to reconnect the battery, wiping a bit of garage dust off the engine cover. As i close the hood, i pause to admire my hard work, only to notice that the wide body was too wide to fit through the garage door. Then my very pregnant wife (in the dream) came to me saying it's time to go. We only had one car...

So my wife has done it to me again with the car. I posted a pic of an ER34 Skyline in Millennium Jade and casually wondered what the Eclipse would look in it. Sarah thinks it would look killer in Millennium Jade with a Bayside Blue graphic. It's something to think about, it might look pretty good...

Here's the Millennium Jade. The skyline is just because the color is on it. Ok, maybe not, I'm OBSESSED with them is why. Lol.

I think my Skyline obsession has gotten the better of me. Now I'm wanting to put an OEM R34 GT-R spoiler on the back of the car. First it was using the colors, now I'm wanting parts on it. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?! I SERIOUSLY need to get my hands on a Skyline to curb this.

Oh we both need to get a hold of nice Skyline. If I had one I would forget about my car and be caught in the awesomeness that is Skyline! lol. I don't really know how the green and blue would look together it almost seems that the blue might be too bright and bold to go with such a mellow green. But as far as the GT-R spoiler that would look good I think. All the parts you have going already are looking good and the car will really nice soon with it all coming together.
