Love the idea of millennium jade. And I've seen a few r34s with the Jade paint job and smoked heads and tails and they look great.

So that's a +1 for the Jade and smoked lights. lol. what about the wing though? Carbon fiber or painted? it will eventually be on a carbon fiber hatch.

I say paintable/fiberglass or whatever. Just because I think the jade will contrast with the cf hatch. You can easily overdue it with cf. unless its the whole body or it's a race car, I say just hood, trunk/hatch, and mirrors.

Re: Just reposting
like the Aston that thing is nice looking. The smoked lights all around would not look too bad with the Jade just not my style but I think that with the Jade being a darker shade the smoke will not be too standoutish.

Re: Just reposting
Which one? The Vanquish or DB9? I'd put both in the garage and kick Sarah's BMW to the street. lol. But, i figured the smoked lights would compliment the Jade and tie in with the carbon fibre, seeing as how you can't buy carbon fiber head, tail, turn, and fog lights. If i had the money and recources, i could start ofering them at prices competitive to those on Andy's Auto Sport.
Oh! Idea! Dennis, could you talk to the guys at Blackworks Racing and see if it's feasible to make headlight housings out of carbon fibre? I know the ones on my car are plastic, so i think CF would be just a tad lighter and stronger.
I think the CF and smoked lights would stand out just right with the car. Might have to at least get some CF wrap...

BWR does not do Carbon but I have found the most amazing place that will make anything out of carbon. Only issue is they are located in Singapore https://www.facebook.com/pages/ROBSON-DESIGN-PTE-LTD/359156602617. These guys do amazing work and all you need to do is send them a picture and explanation of what you want done and they can hit you a quote. Custom carbon work is fairly expensive though. I have tried to find a good company state side but these guys are good and their products look perfect.

Yeah, it's hard to find someone who can do good work and not try and rip money out of your wallet. Too bad BWR doesn't do carbon. It would help their sales. I just tried the link and it said page not found...

Re: Just reposting
Yeah it would be cool if they did carbon. But the carbon work takes a certain knowledge on how to do it and their main focus is on metal work not plastics or fiberglass.

Re: Just reposting
oh. metal is also good. lol. I wonder if Seibon does custom carbon fiber...? But i will agree, their quality is good. I'll probably have to wait on getting it done.
I will Dennis. Might help the rest of us out a little. lol

Re: Just reposting
Your mom's civic has got NOTHING on this. lol. it only has a measly 201 hp. My eclipse runs with that. I not only walked away from a kid in an Eclipse, i ran with no Traction Control from the stoplight and wheel spin in the Camaro. Don't underestimate the car either. It looks bulky, but handles like a damn dream. I've gotta get new shocks, sway bars and strut braces for the eclipse befpore i could hope to handle that good. And the Camaro only had a V6! I can't wait to get my hands on a Camaro SS/RS with a six speed manual and 426 hp/420 lb. ft. of torque, Brembo vented disc brakes, Limited slip differential, and 20 inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tires.

Re: Just reposting
That civic Would lose in a straight away, but put it on an auto cross track, stock for stock, that hunka garbage wouldn't even be able to compete with the civic.
Do you happen to know what the camaro weighs?

Re: Just reposting
No jeff, i don't. I don't know much about the civic either, but I do know that the cars are set up very differently. The Civic Si is a sport compact, whereas the Camaro is a sports car. different suspension, underpinnings and etc. It would be interesting to see of the Camaro, which has come a long way in it's history, can autocross with the best of them, even though it is a bit of a heavy car. I still think the Camaro has a pretty good chance.
On a different note. I'm thinking about just having tanner install the bumper and worry about paint at a later date, as i really want the bumper on and get it, the fogs, turn signals and my side skirts out of his shop. I'll try going down tomorrow and look into it.

Re: Just reposting
Getting the parts on without paint is no big deal. I really don't mind the primered parts on cars, we all know as tuners we can't always afford to paint everything right away.

Re: Just reposting
Tell me about it. I know my stuff is taking up room in his garage, so i'm willing to compromise. If he'll install it correctly and shoot in in primer black, I'll gladly take it off his hands. Besides, there's another shop that we use at work and works on a LOT of Enterprise vehicles who knows my manager first hand that might give me a slightly better deal on paint. who knows?
