Lately i've been kicking around some ideas with my wife over our 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. But first, a few things:

    1) I know it isn't JDM, but i've been looking for a forum to voice my ideas and recieve constructive criticism and not get bashed, since the last forum i did this on did just that.

    2) Again, i know the Eclipse isn't JDM. Please don't tell me to get a Honda or something that is JDM. one I can't afford to at this time and two, my wife and i dont want one now.

3)Telling me to 'just get a RWD car' is just wasting my time and yours. I'm not going to listen.

    4) If you're going to bash me or anyone else's ideas, just go to another thread.

Sorry if i sound like a jerk, I'm just a little fed up with people's negative attitudes about cars. Car tuning is a form of art. You don't have to like it, but the owner of the car does. Please respect that.

    Now, on to my idea.

What my wife and i want to do is take our FWD Eclipse and convert it to RWD using either a JDM 13B-REW, or (more recently) an LS1 or 7; manual transmission, Widebody kit; BMW M3 wheels; Carbon fiber hood, rear hatrch with a factory wiper (yes, the Eclipse did come with one); racing seats; custom dash and center console; a Final Fantasy x mural on the headliner, and the paint job off of the BMW M3 GTR in Need For Speed: Most Wanted. I can post a picture of our car if you;d like, but that's basically what we want to go with. I was thinking about using Dodge and Chevy Dually rear fenders to build the wide body. the body i can probably start on now. The Biggest issue at this time is the fact that the Eclipse needs a new motor, or a rebuild of the one i have. the problem, i have never rebuilt a motor and feel uncomfortable with it. I would like to have the car running by spring or summer, but that's a different thread. here, i'm just voicing ideas.
