Where you at?

Hey everyone lets see where everyone is at and see if we can't get some people together in their local areas for some meets or shows or a cruise.

I am in the metro area of Phoenix AZ and have tried a few forum sites here in Arizona but not getting any good meets close to where I live, everything is on the other side of town. Let me know if you are local, I could use some help and knowledge on my project ride.

im in the Inland Empire in Cali... sucks for the meets being far

yeah meets out here used to be close to my place but I have noticed them getting farther east and north.

Maybe getting bigger lots or something. idk but over here they are getting closer to me idk why probably racers in other cities

The lots where the meets were at were huge and empty but now they are moving to buildings that are still used for business.

dang thats weird, they go to meets where they can get food lol

I liked the meet I used to go to. They had it every friday and Saturday in a parking lot where the businesses were gone and we had like four food places right there. Never had issues there and now its gone. Tried to go to a different one everyone said to go to and that one was empty too. Everyone is just moving too far out for meets.

oh that sucks. but if it was good meets why move it

I'm in Springfield MO. It'd be nice to go to a few meets around here, But being new to town I havent seen anything. Plus, i need the Eclipse back to go to fun stuff again. Highway 76 running from Branson MO to Cassville MO is nice and crooked. My wife and i are dying to unleash the car on it. I miss the cornering, the sound of the exhaust as it runs through the powerband, the feel of a shifter as i rip through the gears. I've GOTTA get that car back ASAP.

there has to be some meets in your area, have you found any local forums for DSM or JDM or stuff like that?

Nope. I can't even find a loal tuner shop to hang out at and get ideas. Doesn't seem like too many people here are in the Tuner scene, even though it is a college town. We have the Southern Missouri University here. maybe I'm not looking in the right places?

every town has some sort of tuning scene, just gotta be careful in some small towns all the "tuners" are kids being dumb.

Hey, that used to be us. lol. I'd like to know where it is. Sarah and I woould like to get involved. But if there's going to be a lot of bashing, forget it.

I hate that I can't seem to find anyone around here anymore, I even went on to the local forum to ask about meets and no one ever responded to me.

Yeah, I've thought about that. I think finding a group that's out and about might be a better way, though some may not take to well to someone just walking up wanting to join... Would be nice if those of us here on JDM Tech Ops could get together and form our own car club and start meets. I'll be so glad to move to Orlando Florida for college. There's bound to be a few meets there.

oh yeah florida should be a great scene for you to get into. I was rolling with a small group when I first moved here called Team Panda AZ and they were cool and all but I quit hanging when I was going to school

You probably shouldn't have. lol. You might get some work done on that Civic of yours. lol

yeah I need to get some work done, but it's not due to lack of help just a lack of funds which I have been battling ever since I bought the car, Hell I even had to scrounge up some extra money from I have no clue where just to buy it to begin with, lol. Still on the search for a new hangout though, had my moms 2012 Si all week now putting stuff on it and I might even take that thing out.
