Yeah, i got my intake and header from eBay, and for the most part I'm happy with them. I just wish they were name brand. lol. But they work great, so no complaints.

some of the off brand stuff is decent as long as you aren't too rough on it. I bought my quick release on Ebay and have already replaced it cause it broke from using it everyday. I have replaced the exhaust I bought on Ebay too and love my Buddy Club exhaust way more. I also got all my front end parts on Ebay and the fenders did not line up right and the bumper doesn't sit right either so I will be replacing those eventually too going with some factory pieces I hope or carbon but I would paint over it. The only thing I have gotten on Ebay that I have no issues with are my front strut bar rear strut bar and C-pillar bar, they all seem to work OK.

daaaaang that thing's pretty clean. Wish my mom drove a Honda, shit wish my Dad or anybody drove a Honda in my family for that matter haha.
When you say your quick release, that you bought from ebay, are you talkin about for a 4 point harness, or steering wheel?

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
the steering wheel I got off of Ebay, it came with the wheel, hub, and quick release. Got it all for $40 bucks so I guess I really wasn't expecting the best quality. The quick release has already been replaced once with another of the same quality and the wheel had to be modified slightly to fit the release because the screws were a bit too big and I had to file down some spots for easier use.

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
OK so my mom went by BlackWorks Racing yesterday since their office and warehouse where they make all their stuff is in Phoenix. I told her to drop by there cause she wanted some green lug nuts and when I googled the address found out she lives 1.8 miles away so I am like wow they are just around the corner from her. So she goes in there and says she wants some green lug nuts and the guy is like is that all you need? and she says what else do you have for a 2012 Civic Si? and the guy is like nothing. So he wants to go out and see her car and he is like wow this is nice and he gets all the guys from in the shop and has them come out and they all are like amazed. So they start taking pictures and call up their lawyer and we will be going by next week to sign some paperwork for them to use my moms Civic to make prototype parts for the new Civics. They will keep her car for a couple of weeks and give her a rental so they can make all the new parts using her car. And after it is all said and done she will get to keep all the parts that they make for free. So they have already talked about doing LCAs, exhaust, Coilovers, radiator, and some other dress up items among any thing else they find once they have it in the shop. Super exciting! But the best part is that they said that they are willing to help her out if she helps them so they said they can try and hook me up with some amazing deals on my car, like maybe getting a new engine! Will let you all know whats going on next week and will be going by the shop as often as possible to take pics and update on the entire process. At least my mom is getting her car done up if I can't do mine, lol.

Wow man that's pretty exciting. LUUUCKY! haha.
Hopefully they start with the LCAs and Coilovers, get your mom's car dumped and dressed up.
I love the newer generation builds, pretty stoked on this.
You definitely need to try and get in good with the boys down there though, having friends in the industry would be a huge advantage for you as far as getting parts, ideas, even coverage.
Can't wait to see what they start dishin out for your moms car.

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
Me neither. Wish my mom was this cool. that's freaking awesome about the Civic bro. I wish somebody would use my car as a prototype for new parts. Maybe if i get a new car, like the FR-S/BRZ or a Camaro... Or a Mustang Convertible. Or a Challenger. Hell, idk what new car i'd get, but i know i want one. lol.
I'll probably sell the idea of a widebody for the Eclipse though, once i get it done. I'm thinking about using fiberglass front fenders and molding the fenders off a dually into them. I know metal and fiberglass don't bond too well without rivets. The rear fenders, i'll probably leave the bolts exposed like a set of Bushwhacker fender flare on 4x4s. Wish i had the resources to hand lay carbon fiber. I'd love to see some more CF parts for my car.

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
Ok so a little update on the Si. We went by today to talk to the guy about getting the car in and we was out today and they said they would not be able to see us until next week because they were taking the company on a little vacation. So while we were there my mom decided that she didn't like her green parts anymore and bought some new ones.
She bought a pink 6-speed shift knob
A new pink tow hook
A new set of pink lug nuts
And a silver oil filler cap
Not too bad of a day at BWR lol. So I now have some green lug nuts for my EK whenever it gets back on the road and a fairly new green tow hook to sell. Anyone looking for one let me know I will clean it up and put it on the selling thread tomorrow or Saturday. Also after doing some more research found another two huge companies based in the Phoenix area, came across Full Race Motorsport and KSport.

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
either one of those companies (BWR, KSport and Full Race Motorsport) make anything for the D52 Eclipse? and as far as the tow hook, I'd love to have one, just, not in green. lol. I think blue or black might go better with the car as it is, maybe a charcoal when i have it repainted.

for the most part but they do have some universal items and I am sure they would love the opportunity to make some more parts for other vehicles.

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
Should know this week when they want it. They all went on vacation and should be back but they are very slow on getting back to us. At least their service is better than their ability to make an appointment, lol. Very satisfied with everything we have purchased from them so far, and I also put the green tow hook on my car and might keep it, lol.

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
I am hoping they do soon. We took the Si in to the dealer yesterday cause the suspension was squeaking but they have to order the parts for it so it won't go back for a week, if BWR wants it before then they will just make springs for it anyway.

Ah, the joy of having parts made. Any idea what kind of car they'll set you mom up with?

Re: 2012 Civic Si - side project
Ok a few updates I guess lol. Called BWR back again and they said they are just about done with their current projects and are hopeful to have it in next week, but we will see lol. Went by ICB Motorsports today and that place is awesome, just walk through the door and your surrounded by new/used Honda parts straight from Japan, with bumpers on the left and wings right in front of you and Spoon racing wheels on the right it was amazing . We picked up some red H badges for the Si and got a new ICB sticker in pink of course lol. Will definitely be going back there for any rare true JDM pieces I want. Pics below . Oh also got some pink i-Vtec DOHC stickers to replace the ones on the side of the car.
