Whaddup JTO.
I saw a shared FB picture and decided to look at the forum.
Due to the sign in/register pop-up, I decided to join and introduce myself.
I'm Laurens, built and raised from 1986 in a small town near Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Got my first car when I was 19. It started with a '95 civic hatch.
Got to switch engine twice. still a D15B2 with D15B7 intake.
Started like this :
Halfway like this :
And right before I sold it like this :
After 3 years of fun and tears, I wanted something quicker.
First wanted a B18C6 or JDM R spec in the car with DC2 suspension & 5 lug.
Looking at a totall price of 10.000. It was cheaper t1eo get a JDM Integra from japan. And so the plan was set.
In March 2010 I bought a '98 spec Integra Type-R imported by a friend straight from Japan. The car is from April 1998 and came to our little country with a little scratched from bumper and a '96 spec rear bumper.
Since it was still winter, I bought the car on EDM 15' wheels with Yokohama winter tires.
In June we went on a trip to Brands Hatch for a round of the UK time attack series and picked up a set of EK9 wheels with good tires.
Due to regulation I had to drive around with this massive fog light ( not fitted on the car from the factory ) Also bought a AEM V1 intake including HKS mushroom filter and Mugen Twinloop catback.
Due to living about 3.5 hours away from the Nurburgring, We usually spend 3 weekends a year there. Picture below was the second lap with the Integra.
Last year I sold the EK9 wheels after buying a set of 16" TE37's but when the winter kicked it, switched back to the winter tires with a set of OEM civic Hybrid wheels. Also painted the front lip VW Gray because it was more black then white... bad choice, after 2 weeks already hated the damned thing. In the back of the picture is my buddy his '97 Civic Type-R.
After the winter I fitted the TE37's under the car with 205/45/16 Falken Ziex 912 and received a mad JDM yo Benen Tow hook. Also traded the Mugen Twinloop for a Spoon N1.
And the last picture is with my Enkei NT03's and new eibach springs on the Dyno 2 weeks ago.
Did a small 206 on the engine and a disappointing 174 on the wheels due to worn clutch. The dyno before she had 183 on the wheels.
Thats all about the car.
Myself ? Working at the IT deparment of a huge Steel plant and sometimes shoot some picture for my own little blog ( jdm-itr.nl ) and shoot for a bigger dutch blog (efella.com )
Pics can be found in bigger version on my Flickr account ( which cannot be linked yet...
Hope you liked the intro
