Random thoughts

I was surfing eBay Motors for random cars that I have no hope of obtaining any time soon, and found a SWEET little 86 Trueno for $5,500 and a very nice black Ferrari Testarossa for about $40,000 and a red F40 for a staggering $599,990. Yeah, I'd probably never own one of those cars, though i am still holding out for an early 2000's Aston Martin DB9. Saw one for only $60,000 in St Louis some time back, they offered financing. Behold the power of dreams. lol

We all have our dreams, i know I too go on the search of cars I hope to own one day, lol.

Then you're in luck man, if you got the money. Due to motorex crash testing the R33, only the R33 is legal for import out of the Skylines that are less than 25 years old. However, there is one catch or two. One, it has to be manufactured between January 1, 1996 and June 1998. It was in June or July when the stopped production of the R33 and started the R34, which I would like to remind anyone who reads this post is NOT legal for import. Two, you have to go through a Registered Importer. The car will have to be brought up to US specs. Dminted and i have seen Skylines posted for sale numerous times, and i personally have only seen ONE that was legal in the US. It was an R32 that was imported by Motorex in the early 2000's when they scammed the government, trying to say that the R32-34 chassis was similar enough to get them by on a "similar chassis clause". They weren't. The R32 i just referenced was for sale on ebay and had two VERY important documents that ALL LEGAL Skylines in the US MUST have: A substitute for US VIN, and a Bond Release. A state registration means absolutely NOTHING. The substitute for US VIN and Bond Release are federal documents that certify the vehicle is legal for use on US roads. Believe me, I've done my research, wanting to pick up a 1996 Skyline R33 GT-R sedan. But in due time. Hope that helps man.
