Need to Vent

Ok I just post this on my FB it's been bugging the shit outta me for awhile and with the whole "concrete parking for elite" bullshit that has been going on with the Simply Clean 3 event down here this is what I had to say "Ok this has to be said shit has gone on long enough. WTF is with all these damn internet d-bags that thinks either slamming a car on cheap ass fucking Taiwan coilover on even shittier chinese fucking wheels and calling a day means they are cool enough to be "simple" and "clean" and can be rewarded their canibeatitoff feature be considered ok?! Or even worse some dumbass in a potent car can be ok spending $3K on coilovers that were designed to be used as a performance tracked-tested components and just crank the coils all the way down and basically negating the fucking point of having and stretching what could be a good street performance tire around an expensive iconic Volk or Works wheel just to be the coolest "hardparked" POS? I mean Jesus Christ 80% of these don't even run the most basic performance mods? And Don't give these hellaflushed stancers the mentality that they are just minitruckers because guess what? Minitruckers like have some go too! Dammit it pisses me off that these so called "car guys" would rather spend money on some fucking designer man-bags and fucking shoes. Just a long winded rant."

Definitely have to agree with you on ALL topics discussed above. It's like these people want to do just the bare minimum to their car and take it out and expect everyone to praise the work "they've" done.I see it everyday. Whats worse is the people who will buy a car based on the mods it already has done to it instead of coming up with their own ideas. It's good to know other people notice douchebags out there too.

def agreed, what really pisses me off is all the "cover worthy" cars that are built but nobody mentions the fact that mommy and daddy had to pay for all the parts and labor cause you know that kid didn't buy or build that thing himself. I have been working on my car for over a year and just barely broke the surface on what I want to do with because I don't have anyone buying parts for me. I can't stand seeing a real clean car rolling up and some teenager douche stepping out with Gucci shades, you wanna see some true enthusiasts go out on the weekend and see the cars everyone has that don't go to the car shows and all the projects still being worked on. And yes the less is more attitude is just not enough in my opinion but sadly that's all we can call it is just an opinion.

That's the beauty get kids involved. I hate see classic car mags that have ads that saw bring a kid to a carshow, because in reality most import car shows I would not bring me kids to, I think these "models" need to GTFO and just enjoy cars man. But hey I'm old and married and that's my opinion. . Yes I totally agree the shows that they have our highly overplayed and majority of the people who go don't ever go to look at nice cars or see new things going on in the scene, all the companies are trying to add shows and models and music events to all these "car" shows and people are forgetting why they showed up in the first place. I would not take my children to any shows except maybe a few that are done by true enthusiast companies like the Eibach meets, all cars no "show".

Yeah over here we have Simply Clean and thier meets they have but now it seems like more and more of they types we were talking about the "hipsters" pretty much run it.

Okay just gotta say thanks to JDMTECHOPS.com for sharing my photo, but does everyone have to be so negative and offer up how wrong what one person does with their time is. If people would learn to accept that not everyone is into the same thing and stop trying to fit in with everyone else they think is doing the cool thing at this point in time I feel they would have more positive criticism rather than being rude. yes they did, wasn't anything great just a little photo of a car I made up on Forza with their decal on it and all the comments posted were negative. Doesn't bother me really but just got me thinking about how that's all we ever here is negative remarks about our builds. I don't knock what anyone does with their car and wonder why everyone is so quick to say that everything they don't like personally is the wrong thing to do.

I agree Diminted. Why can't people appreciate what you do to your car. they don't drive it. I had that [roblem in a Mitsubishi forum i was a part of. out of everyone who posted, the owner of the page and one other DIDN'T bash my idea. I want to convert my 2001 Eclipse to RWD. I asked a few questions about possible engines, and the bashing started. "just get a 240 and drop an LS1 in it." "just go buy a RWD car" "I'm a mechanic and i would NEVER take on a project like this" and the like. I'm sitting at the computer thinking "WTH?" i even said up front that its an idea, something i'm not ready to start yet and that i think it would be a great test of my skills. I really want to make the Eclipse RWD with a wide body, my only problem is space, money and skill. To me, it seems too many people are simply afraid of custom stuff.

yes people fear the unknown and it is really sad that more people can't look at rare idea such as this and not go "wow thats new". Sounds like it would be a killer set to me. From what I've experienced here you won't have any problems with people not appreciating something out of the norm.

Stupid frickin Ex-wife and the IRS. Apparently my daughter's last name doesn't match what the IRS or SSA has on file. We got her SSN from her caseworker. I have no idea what the stupid bitch (my ex) put down for her name, only what the birth certificate says. Thanks to this little mishap, the amount that my wife and i were expecting wont be coming in, but less than a thousand dollars. WTH? now how am i going to get the car fixed so i can get a freaking job or take the kids to school or day care? I am so bloody pissed right now i can't even see straight. Our return is supposed to help us get into the house, pay bills and deposits etc until i get a decent job.

I am sooooo pissed right now and thankful that everyone on this forum is very supportive and cool with everyone else. I have been a member of the local Honda forum AZHT.NET since I moved here to AZ and the people on there have been the biggest dicks and the most rude people ever. I have a build thread on there the same as on here and yesterday my thread got blew up by a number of other members talking about how my car as well as my moms Si is shit and nothing but rice. I commented back explaining proper manners to them and don't know if I will continue to use the site. Apparently these guys all hate BWR and think that the parts on the cars make it look trashy and also feel that by having an ICB sticker on the Si just means that I'm trying to be cool? They feel that anyone can put an ICB sticker on their car and instantly be awesome but they don't stop to think that maybe just maybe someone actually bought parts from them and is supporting a local small business. I can't believe these people and they have officially ruined the site for me. You guys on here are the best and i am very thankful that we have never had issues with conflicting ideals and that everyone really seems to get along no matter how few of us actually utilize the forum. I used to go to AZHT.NET to find good meets when I first moved here but the site seems to have been overrun by annoying little rich kids with mom and dads money and all meets that used to be close to me have been cancelled and moved to the other side of town because they said the meet spots were too dangerous. Too dangerous? These people live here and we all know where not to go and these spots were not dangerous. I feel that they just wanted to accommodate themselves since all the new meets are being held in more respected communities in the nicer parts of town which just happens to be on the other side of town from me. I'm not trying to be a hater or anything but they have sort of brought out the worst right now lol. Anyways just wanted to say again thank you guys for being awesome!

I hear you man, Honda-tech is full of haters and douche bags.. 10% of the users are nice and respectful/helpful, the other 90% are just haters judging people's cars and hard work when they just drive a stock car and don't have the knowledge or funding to do anything respectable.
I have a build thread on there and only two people have replied out of 700+ views it's had.. But I guess that's better than an ass-ton of hate.
