    hey found this

If you just cut out the small section you need around the whole you could match it up to your hood pretty nicely and if it is too wide just cut a little out of the middle and piece it together. This is going to have to be a custome job but could look sweet.

Huh, that doesn't look too bad. Yeah, i MIGHT have to cut it down to size, but it'd look SO cool. I was thinking about getting my hands on one of the scoops off the FD3S and molding it in to the hood, but i think that scoop (the FD's) is smaller...

In my quest for more power (and Mustang smoke-ability) I started contemplating a 4G63t head swap out of either an Evo 8 or 2G Eclipse GST. I believe the numbers are somewhere in the 200-300 range for a 4G63t, so a turbo swap would give me about another 100-150 hp, for a total of about 300-350 hp in the Eclipse at this time. Now to talk my wife into it...

Well, my wife agrees, now i just need to find the parts. I'm going to try to go cheap, seeing as how i'm on a budget. I figure getting the head first and swapping it on, then getting the header and turbo to follow. Course, a simple turbo swap will boost the numbers too... if i play my cards right, i might be able to walk away with 400 hp. in due time. lol

Does anybody know if the Mitsubishi 4G63T manifold will fit on a 4G64? (bit of a random question i know, seeing as how I'm the only Mitsubishi owner here)

There one of my favorite wheels too, but at $820 a rim (no tires) I think i'll just buy M3 wheels off eBay. $1200 with tires for a set of 4. sounds like a better deal to me.

So i checked on the car today. They're still working on it, in the process of trying to figure out which bolt on the front case goes where (they're all different lengths depending on where they go on the front case). due to the fact that they had to let one of the techs go it dropped them from 3 to 2 and backed them up. They're one of the best shops in the area (i'm not about to take it in to Mitsubishi in Springfield. Nothing against them, but i just don't want to pay $90 an hour) so i trust their work, even if it takes them a little longer with the sudden back log. I can't wait to get it back, i'm sending my valve cover off to get powered coated. It's gonna look SWEET. Go sheck out Dminted's and you'll see what i mean.

$1600 eh? if i could get TE's for that much, i might consider it. I dunno though, the M3 rims are really attractive to me. I think the BMW 10 spoke look would look best with the wide body. The bumper's still sitting in the garage, but i found a guy who can paint and install it for $150, and i checked some of his work. It's GOOD. He does it out of his house about 20 miles from me. All he asks is that i buy the paint. He's an Army veteran too. So in addition to that, i still need to look into powder and shipping to Street Obsessions in Florida for my Valve cover. I'm going to have them use the left over red from Dennis' valve cover to paint the Mitsubishi Diamonds. It's gonna look SWEET, when i get the Eclipse back.

I've been looking at the Ben Sopra Nissan GT-R body kits, and i kinda like the look of them. No, I'm not going to go with that style, but a couple of things in that kit really kind of caught my eye: the suicide hood/clip and GT wing. Since I'm going with a Mazda 20B-REW (twin turbo three rotor for those who haven't heard about me prattle on about it) and the overall design of the rotary, i think a suicide hood (think Chevy Corvette) would not only look good, but be practical as well. See, the rotary is unofficially dubbed a "mid-front engine" meaning it sits behind the front axle for better power to weight distribution. Most engines sit on or in front of the axle. The GT wing might not be the most practical, but it looks awesome and would be the perfect width for the wide body. Plus, it can always be powder coated to match or complement the paint job. I've been looking for a wing that would look good, almost like a track wing, and i think i found it. After looking online at a currency converter, the wing will cost me $6,070.91. Not too bad. just a hell of a chunk of change. The whole Scheme for the Eclipse is to not only do it custom, but if nothing else, to LOOK like a track car. The BMW M3 GTR in Need for Speed Most Wanted that I'm using as the basis for the paint, was an actual car. BMW only built 10 models of the M3 GTR so they could compete in Gran Turismo in 2001, as per ALMS regulations, which stated that cars must be for sale on two continents within twelve months of the rules being issued. To fulfill this rule, BMW put 10 road going GTRs on sale after the 2001 season, for 250,000 euros (then $218,000) each.

Not too big on the Ben Sopra but it does look decent. It has a sort of supercar feel to it. I don't know if I would go with a GT wing if your not planning to track it, unless your going for a more show feel with it.

1600 for TEs is a pretty common price IMO, I see em used for 1500 to 1600 online all the time, I REALLY want a set.. which would allow me to stay at 4 lug.. but I also want a set of BBS RS' which are 5 lug.. So I'll probably end up doin the 5 lug, buying a set of 5 lug TEs and a set of RS'.. because that seems like the most American way to go about it (when in doubt, spend a shit ton of cash)... Shocked
But as for the Ben Sopra and Gt wing and all that, you're building the car for YOU, personally. So I will refrain from barking orders at you Wink
But in MY opinion, I would stay away from the wing, and keep the body a little more subtle.. That's why I'm glad you went with the bumper you did, it seemed the least drastic and most practical to me, plus it just looks right Like a Star @ heaven (ok can we ditch the stupid star emote and put in a normal 👍 one please? haha)
I dunno, I'm just personally more into the stock aero and design when it comes to cars. Flashy body kits ruin it for me, but again it's your car, and I hope you do exactly what YOU want with it.

Here's what I'm looking at. I think it might go with the wide body well. Unfortunately, two things. 1) I don;t have the wide body yet. 2) this wind would be hands down the most expensive thing on the car, even surpassing the price of the car itself. I paid $4975 for the Eclipse, the 20B will cost about $3000, this wing will cost $6070.91 (or 498,000 yen). I like the look of it, but maybe $6000 would be a tad too much to spen on the car. If i even get it, it will be the very last thing i get for the car (after a set of TE37's for a not so low price of $3280 before shipping and tires). But still, since the car is for a bit of shock and awe, maybe the wing would be a good choice. If i can find someone to do some photo shopping for me, i could get a better idea how things would look.

Here's a couple of colors I'm considering for my valve cover, Blue Ice Explosion and Blue Starlight. I'm not sure which one would look best, i just started looking for colors. But, here ya go.

    First, the Blue Ice Explosion:
    Project idea - Page 6 Blue_i10

and the Blue Starlight (the name kinda fits with the Cosmo swapped Eclipse. Bit of a space theme here... O.o):
    Project idea - Page 6 Blue_s10

or maybe a Candy Blue vc?:
    Project idea - Page 6 Candy_10

    what about Jollypop Blue?
    Project idea - Page 6 Jollyp10

God, finding a color is harder than i thought...

I dunno, after looking at the options here, it seems that Starlight Blue would be a great color. Going to definitely keep the options open, but I'm leaning very heavily on the Starlight Blue.

I like the blue ice, it has a slightly darker feel to it and would look very nice with the silver you have planned. The wing is huge lol but it would look very nice on the Eclipse with a wide body and especially for turning heads.

So that's a yes on the wing? lol. As long as the rear hatch opens I'm good. And I'm literally torn on the color. Think the Starlight is a tad too light? UGH! I hate picking colors...

Blue Ice Explosion, Hands down! That's the color I'm gonna do my RS' when I get them, thanks for the color idea Wink
As for the wing, to each their own, but I think the only car that wing belongs on is the r35 :/
Again that is just my opinion.

Yeah, i'm kind of feeling the Blue Ice too, I'll run it past my wife and see what she thinks. I'm going to play hell figuring out which burgundy to use for the extra vc, It's her favorite color. Burgundy and silver, how's that sound?
